Becoming...

I choose now to write A thought about Thoughts, a tale about Feelings. How I wanted to, But, did not speak up or express. I chose, but, To be hurt, To feel betrayed, Disappointed,   by The ones I thought never will Defeated in every path, I chose Stopped time I did, Flipped a few pages back, And stared at life, As an outsider, a stranger With no judgment… I wanted to And failed To say no, to opine To choose differently To be happy and Not carry the burden of My choices. I chose the sorrow, I chose betrayal, I chose yesterday, I chose today. I chose to become. Alas! Time waits for no one, I lay with my eyes open, On a bed of choices and doubts. Pages of life turned to A tomorrow with hope, New paths to pave A path to a new Becoming…

Master of None (?!)

And I keep returning to the blogosphere with one thing or the other. Here goes another cryptic mess here. Are you the master of your choice?  Bright and vibrant eyes, A soothing voice, Helpful demeanor, Subtle yet present curves, A shapely dress, Highlighting them all, As if she wasn't already attractive enough. She called out to him, Gently nudging for attention, From time to time. No matter how big the crowd, He ogled at her unabashedly, Never let her out of sight, Or an arm's length. She wasn't new in his life, Nonetheless, she managed... To morph in many ways From time to time Just for his attention And he, for her Diabolical, was she? One fine day… He sat with his back, Turned away from her, Like he cared - For the world around him. As he looked up and around, All that was left was... Burned bridges, Withering flowers, Fallen leaves, Decadence of life as he knew it And an insignificant ray of hope. ...

Tears of Joy

With the Gods shedding tears of joy As they witnessed two souls in pristine indulgence She ran into the covers of his arms As if it was her cocoon, her shell, her happy home He held her like there was no tomorrow Like he never wanted to let go She looked up into his eyes As she felt his lips close against hers Filling a void, closing a gap, turning their being into one...

Shades of Joy

The sun went down as she sat there, The wind caressed her face, And her hair danced around like it'd found a beat She hid her lovely eyes with the back of her palm. She squinted a little as she sat there, Until he approached the side.. Becoming the shadow she would hide behind.. As he looked deep into her eyes, He knew what he saw was what was meant to be Not today, Not the present, but for eternity...

The Bar Raiser...

A man whose wit and humor keeps people smiling all around. I am almost mighty sure I get a large chunk of my creative side from him. Eternally busy and socially engaged, certainly there's a huge influence he has had in the man I am today in every way.  A small write up to say thanks and how much I love and respect the man!  Every time I think I have gotten closer You raise the bar further… When I feel like I’ve woken up a better person  Your smile reassures me there miles to go before I sleep With every victory and any accomplishment Your composure reminds me to stay humble.. The greatest lesson I ever learned,  Wasn’t taught in any school I went to You taught me, how there would be something to learn From everyone I will meet through the journey of life You showed me how to respect every woman I would meet, I would date, I would work with, I would befriend, I would grow up around You lead by example, on how we were equal in every way ...

Identity

Because everyone we meet know impacts us in one way or the other as much as we want to believe we are all immune to external stimuli. A gentle reminder of who I will always be and how the journey of life will evolve one second at a time. .. Some have loved Some have left Some have hurt  Some have cared  Some I miss Some I don't Some I believe  Some I fight Some have touched Some have nurtured Some have impressed Some have shared All have made a mark Everyone's a part of who I am The great I look up to The good I emulate The bad taught me not to be There's very few that bring hope, Who make me want to believe.. For who I continue to dream, Who will search with me for the pot of gold at a rainbow's end, For who turn my world magical... Who will ride with me the Unicorn of Hope,  Into a perfect sunset at the Elysian Fields...

The Unsung Song

I saw her cry, I saw her smile I saw her go through life for a while I saw her fail, I saw her succeed  All with her hand in mine in times of need I stand before her making a vow, to the woman in a veil ... We said we do and were wife and husband In this whimsical journey of life unplanned... Nothing could stop us, not the sun, not the snow We darted ahead leaving our world in tow.. Excitement and fun filled without a moment bland  Traveled the world and painted it red  With not a care in the world we did tread  Somewhere along we lost our way indeed Left us wanting more out of life and in greed Opening up a void, as all the joy and happiness bled We sought help, we prayed to the one above  Only discontent, but still deeply in love With each other, we were still alone  Passionate about life, still forlorn Until one day She had a new glow... Moons later our tiny bundle of joy came along  In our house a...

Mystery Maiden

Losing battles I was, dusk to dawn And over again..  Futile were all my efforts to win So I ran... She seemed to follow me everywhere... Every time I looked, I floated away... Deeper in her thought... She held me in an inexplicable trance,  I couldn't take my eyes off... She vanished at will... She wouldn't wave goodbye.. Forlorn I looked for her, come dawn, to no avail... She came back slowly but surely, Giving me glimpses... Of her beauty, of her glow... For she was a reflection, a shadow.

The Stranger

Her dark hair danced in the gentle breeze, As I watched from a table across from hers, It grazed her cheek back and forth, giving away glimpses of her blue eyes... She ran her fingers through her hair, tucking it behind the ear, Throwing my heart into flutters. The air was filled with her fragrance.. She sat there sipping on her coffee... Little did she know, I was in my heart dancing, A dance she and I were in... For I was falling deeper in love with every passing moment. She looked at me and waved... I had caught the corner of her eye... I smiled back and left my table, to go to hers As I walked towards her, the mind went mute... For I knew not, what to say.. A countless number of butterflies I felt... She spoke away...as I sat there nodding weakly, Mustering all the courage I had left... I asked to have dinner with me...she nodded, Waved a gentle goodbye and vanished into the madding crowd We met soon after and again... And again...

The Facade

Waves pounded his heart over & over, For it craved and pined for things that were impossible. He cried in the rain, For he could hide his tears from his world. He was weary of being, For he had to hide behind his façade every wink. Hope was the only thing that kept his heart whispering. For reality was now a distant dream. Everyone in his clueless world gazed at him with pride, For having known him all these years. His heart screamed out aloud for help, For his face always put up a brave smile. He surrounded himself with people, who loved him, For he tried to fill an abysmal void. He wanted unselfish love, For he was tired of all the fiction. He lied to the world, For he couldn’t see them grieve. He cried in the rain, For he could hide his tears from his world. He broke down and let go once & for all, For he couldn’t live a lie any more. Waves pounded him over & over as he drifted away into the distance, For ever ...

Through the Looking Glass

I took a deep breath as I sat down at my window & watched the world go by, Among all the beautiful things in nature I caught a little glimpse of her. I wandered, wandered like a mad man to know who she was... I walked back home lost and alone… still looking for her out the corner of my eye…. It was quite a while but, I sat at the window as if there were a tether. Nights went by and days dawned on.. I sat by the window and stared through the glass. It was a white winter morning I was sipping on my coffee by the window... Like a tiny ray of sunshine breaking through the clouds.. there she came… A sense of cheer surrounded her and she was radiant in the red scarf she wore…  I ran out to talk to her for I wanted to know….  To know her name, where she lived... Where she worked and who she was …I asked her to dinner so…..  Days flew along while I learned about her past… It had no importance, for we looked into tim...
